Who Exactly Are We?
Some of us are here in Sta. Rosa a long time, and many years ago Manoy Alipon seemed to be what we were looking for. He was an ex-seminarian who persuaded us that his motives were to do the best he could for local people. We supported his quest to become Chairman of Barangay Balibago. Then his corrupt actions revealed the truth to us. He was not interested in local people at all. He wanted to make more and more money for himself. This was his real purpose in barangay politics. His greed led to his grafts and corruptions that soon became notorious in political circles throughout all of Laguna.
Like local businesses squeezed dry by Kap Manoy's abusive extortions, we the voters began to think again and eventually recognized our mistake. Manuel G. Alipon was not the right man for the job. But our awakening was too late. He was was one step ahead of us, because already he used the same fraudulent techniques at election time in 2007 to become Vice Mayor of Santa Rosa, Laguna, the most corrupt vice mayor in its history.
For all of us voters it is important to examine how local politicians win elections. They win by one or more of 5 methods only. Either: 1) they have honestly and legitimately persuaded people to vote for them, or 2) they have dishonestly and fraudulently persuaded people to vote for them, and/or 3) they have bought votes for just a few pesos per vote, and/or 4) by bribery and other means they have falsified the election results, and/or 5) they have murdered their opponents. Manuel "Manoy" G. Alipon is guilty of reasons 2, 3, 4 and 5. His motive is to make himself extremely rich by abuse of public office with graft, corruption, extortion, plunder, robbery and murder. Our city and our children deserve better than this.
More Info About Us
Most Filipinos are basketball fans, who always support our national team, and boxing fans who always support Manny Pacquiao. Nobody forces us to do this, and we receive no payment for our support. It's voluntary because we feel for our own people and want them to succeed in the wider world outside the Philippines. This is the spirit we bring to the 2010 Elections, a collective pro-Pinoy spirit that goes beyond global sports into every aspect of human life in the Philippines and in the world.
Yet More Info About Us
We want all Filipinos to succeed in whatever their chosen fields might be, locally and internationally both. Lawyers, accountants, business entrepreneurs, engineers, builders, carpenters, caregivers, nurses, doctors, teachers, disk jockeys, TV presenters, journalists, novelists, poets, pop singers, actors, artists, composers, musicians, dancers, every kind of occupation in the 21st Century. We need clean government from the bottom up to give every Pinoy and Pinay equality and opportunity and backing.

The phenomenal popularity at home and overseas of Laguna's own Charice is ongoing proof that a talented local Filipina given equality, opportunity and backing can rise up to become an international star.
